Hangout with Johnny Matheny: World’s First Osseointegrated, Neurally Controlled Prosthetic

The Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) has been developing one of the most advanced prosthetic arms in the world. The neurally controlled APL arm has just recently been osseointegrated into the remaining humerus bone of Johnny Matheny, the first person in the world to have such capabilities. We spoke with Johnny about the new arm and what new things it allows him to do.
